Dr. Jones attended The University of Texas in Austin and then The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. After completing his medical training he served in the Navy, part of that time as the medical officer aboard a nuclear submarine.

Dr. Jones attended The University of Texas in Austin and then The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. After completing his medical training he served in the Navy, part of that time as the medical officer aboard a nuclear submarine.
Dr. Jones began his private Family Practice in Austin in 1973. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians and member of the Texas Medical Association. He has served as president of the Travis County Chapter of the Texas Academy of Family Physicians. He is a member of Mensa as well as a number of other academic organizations.
He is a pilot, skier, scuba diver, and computer addict. He enjoys speaking to civic, business, and professional organizations on a variety of health-related topics.
Dr. Jones has two grown sons (click if you'd like to see them).
We are very fortunate to have a superb office staff who care sincerely about each of our patients. These ladies have genuine affection for each other and love working together. They truly do function as a happy team, and we are sure you will enjoy knowing each of them.
Rita is our Office Manager. She will often be the person who answers the phone when you call, the first person to greet you when you arrive in our office, and last person you see before you leave.
Rita has been Dr. Jones' assistant and valued friend for almost 20 years. She is a Nationally Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), and she often helps out with the nursing duties when necessary.
Rita is married and has a grown son. She has a house full of pets and a sideline business making Christmas ornaments and other works of art from sea shells and gourds.
Rita runs the show around here. If you ever have any problem with our office, tell Rita about it; and the odds are she'll have it corrected in no time.
Nora is our Registered Nurse (RN). She assists the doctor with examinations and will be taking care of most of your tests, lab work, injections, etc. When you call our office with medical questions or requests for medical information, your call will usually be taken by Nora who is very knowledgeable in these areas. Sometimes it will be necessary for her to discuss your questions with the doctor, but she will always have the right answer for you as quickly as possible.
Nora is married and has a young son.
