I have the right to choose which patients I will accept into my practice on a case by case basis, and not to have a random roster of patients "assigned" to me by a managed care plan.

I have the right to spend as much time with my patients as I feel is necessary to meet their needs.

I have the right not to be coerced into delivering superficial, impersonal, second-rate care by managed care plans trying to force me to rush far too many patients through my office every hour.

I have the right not to have my professional fees arbitrarily set by a profit-motivated managed care plan which knows nothing about (and does not care about) the high quality of care I provide to my patients.

I have the right to have my patients determine the value of my services to them.

I have the right to keep it simple.    I'll always do the best I can for my patients, and they can pay me if they think I'm worth it.    I am totally, personally responsible for everything I do for my patients; and I believe that my patients should be personally responsible for paying me (just as they pay their plumber, auto mechanic, dentist, or veterinarian).

I have the right to enjoy being a doctor.
